About Us



SKIN Ireland produces sustainable organic vegan skincare products.  SKIN ethically sources certified organic plant ingredients from county Wicklow. Small batches are created on a weekly basis.

Set up by Yvonne Thunder in 2021, SKIN is based in Dublin. SKIN is a member of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.   

Who

Founder and owner, Yvonne Thunder is currently completing a Diploma in Organic Skincare with accredited online Organic Cosmetic Science School, Formula Botanica in the UK. SKIN has a studio-lab in Dublin's Phoenix Park area where products are developed and produced.   
Yvonne has a background in film production and has worked on government events including the Centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising for the Department of the Taoiseach.  She holds a post-graduate diploma in Cultural Event Management.

Linen is woven in county Wexford by Emblem Weavers. Sewn by Fashion Connect Ireland in Wexford.

The ethos of SKIN is to only work with certified ethically sourced vegan ingredients that provide intensely hydrating nourishment and therapeutic benefits to deliver the desired result of improving the skin.  95% certified organic ingredients.   Each carefully selected plant ingredient and essential oil in every botanical formula, contains hardworking natural plant vitamins and minerals.

SKIN at Farmers Markets

Two Fridays a month at Sandyford Indoors market in Naomh Olaf GAA Hall.
 
The last Saturday of each month, SKIN is at Airfield Estate farmers market in Dundrum.
 
Two Saturdays a month at The Crafty Crab market in the Sea Angling Club, West Pier, Howth.

Two Sundays a month at Herbert Park market in Ballsbridge and two summer Sundays a month at The Plaza market on the marina, Greystones (last market is Sunday 25 August).
 
Christmas markets include Greystones Plaza market, Killruddery House in south Bray and Ballymaloe Christmas Fair, east Cork.  

SKIN returns to Gifted, the Contemporary Irish Design and Craft Fair in the RDS, Dublin 4-8 December 2024.

SKIN’s Role to Support the Protection of our Natural Environment

SKIN only uses recycled materials (reusing paper packaging received with orders from SKIN's ingredients supplier) for packaging online orders. All product containers are pharmaceutical-grade and 100% recyclable.  We encourage customers to wash and reuse the aluminium tins and amber/blue glass jars.  All product containers are sourced from SKIN's ingredients supplier in county Wicklow.  Product paper labels are produced in Dublin. SKIN's gift bags are produced from recycled paper, sourced from Irish family business Little and McClean.

Sustainable Gift Sets in Handy Travel Linen/Cotton Bags 

No packaging or wrapping - ready to gift !   Gift bags contain products cushioned in hand-cut and rolled hessian.  Gift bags feature a naturally dried Irish grown flower, hand-sewn on individually to each linen/cotton gift bag.  These linen/cotton bags double as handy travel bags !
